Sevillanas Flamencas Masterclass. Returning to London to headline the Feria de Londres, Flamenco bailaor and classic Spanish dancer Emilio Serrano will be teaching a Sevillanas Masterclass. On this occasion, his approach to Sevillanas will be from their flamenco influences. Basic knowledge of the 4 sevillanas is required. Whilst Sevillanas derive from ancient traditional dances from Spanish folklore, flamencos embraced them as part of their repertoire for Ferias and social occasions, being the quintessential courtship dance. Of course, they started to adapt the steps to their own taste, and the line between Sevillanas and Flamenco started to blur. Emilio will be working with that blurred line, showing variations on each of the coplas to give his students a number of resources to build their own Sevillanas with that unique Flamenco flavour.

Gemma de la Cruz will teach flamenco dance for students at lower-intermediate/intermediate level. Choreography is different each week.

Cost: one class £28, both classes on the same evening £50. You will need to book in advance as this is not a drop-in class.
